What should you consider before booking?
Golden Hour
Golden hour occurs within 1 hour of sunset. To capture spring golden hour in your grad photos, consider booking a photoshoot between 5:00 and 8:00pm. Film photography tends to stand out during golden hour shoots.
Cherry Blossoms and Flowers
Cherry blossoms in Ithaca are expected to bloom in early April. To make sure you capture the blossoms, plan for a shoot between April 6th and 20th. If cherry blossom photos are your priority, please contact me. We can make short-notice adaptations to your booking to capture them!
Cap and Stole
Make sure to bring any graduation regalia you would like for your photoshoot, including a cap, stole, and cords, if desired. Your stole can be purchased at The Cornell Store online or on campus (for same day pickup).
Direct Sunlight
For grad photos in direct sunlight, book a photoshoot in the late morning through mid afternoon, ideally between 11:00am and 4:00pm.
Ivy and Greenery
After a long winter, Ithaca spring is blooming later than usual. To guarantee maximum greenery in your photos, book a photoshoot between late April and mid-May.
Champagne, Props, and Outfits
If you would like, plan to bring champagne, props (instruments, sports equipment, etc), and an outfit change to your shoot! All photoshoots include outfit changes if desired.
